The Glimmer Fairies Project was created by Celia. Her son Noah was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia and like the rest of the families on the hemotology/oncology ICU floor, had to spend long nights and sometimes weeks living at the hospital. As parents, especially moms don’t feel like they deserve to treat themselves to normal things like a manicure or a haircut while their child is in the hospital. Celia gathered as many friends in the beauty industry. Many have volunteered their services to the patients and caregivers. From that visit, The Glimmer Fairies Project was created. They are now on their 6th year creating beauty events and hope to expand them to other children's hospitals in the country. We are currently in the process of becoming an official non for profit organization that will be able to provide financial aide to families in need of assistance.
